I Love Yarn Day pic
Friday, October 12, 2018, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Help us celebrate I Love Yarn Day with like-minded people at the library!  Spend the day doing whatever craft you like that involves fiber. Sit quietly by yourself and get lost in your craft or mingle with others working on their crafts. Susan Knorr of Wisconsin Handweavers will be offering weaving demonstrations and will have information on area weaving classes and events. Kim Ogle of Ogle Designs in St. Francis will be demonstrating yarn spinning and sock knitting on an antique sock machine. She will also have hand spun, hand-dyed yarn, patterns, and kits available for purchase. Lunch will also be available for purchase starting at 11:00 am -- hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and sides. Yum!

driving tests 2
Cudahy Family Library announces a partnership with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
