Do you have a digital photo mess? Do you have photos on your laptop? desktop? smartphone? external hard drive? USB drive? DVDs/CDs? email? social media? camera/SD cards? If you have photos in more than three places, you might have a photo mess.

Join a photo organization expert from Pixologie, who will provide an overview to digital photo organization, demonstrate how to move photos from a variety of places to your computer, and give hands-on help to attendees with their digital photos. Bring your laptop, phone, tablet, jump drive, camera cards, and more so that you can start organizing your digital photos right at this workshop!

World Wide Knit in Public Day

Share your love of knitting with like-minded crafters! Bring a lawn chair, your project, and come hang out on the library's beautiful outdoor Ladish Foundation Plaza. If you're not a knitter, bring some supplies (knitting needles and yarn) and ask a knitter to teach you something -- or bring any craft you'd like to work on. Don't forget a cool beverage and some sunscreen! We will move indoors if it rains. Free of charge; no registration required.

Bonsai in Wisconsin: East Meets West and Art Meets Horticulture 
Sunday, June 9, 2019, 12 pm - 4 pm

Kevin Stoeveken of Wisco Bonsai will present a program on the art of Bonsai as it is practiced around the world in general, and in Southeast Wisconsin in particular. The program will include a short talk about Bonsai Basics, along with a demonstration of various techniques used to create these living pieces of art. There will also be a sign-up sheet for those who may wish to "get their hands dirty" and pursue this wonderful pastime beyond the day's presentation. This program will be held outside, in the Ladish Foundation Plaza and is free of charge. Rain date: June 30, 12-4 pm

Cudahy Family Library announces a partnership with, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
